About The NOLA Effect

The NOLA Effect is a free directory of businesses in New Orleans. Any business with a real address or service area in the city can add a basic listing at no cost. Each new listing is checked by a person before it appears, so the list stays useful to the people reading it.

We keep things plain. A listing shows the business name, address (or the area it serves), phone, website, hours and the categories it fits. There are no paid placements: within a category, businesses appear in alphabetical order.

If your business is listed and something is wrong, use "Is this your business?" on the listing page to claim it and correct it. If you want a listing removed, use "Request removal" and we will take it down after confirming the request. You can reach us any time through the contact page.
